Which restaurant?

We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel for 2 nights in December, taking advantage of the Free Meals Offer. I would be grateful for any recommendations on where to book for dinner - we will have our 3 year old with us so it would have to be somewhere she would enjoy too. Also are there any particularly good places to use your vouchers at lunchtime?

Hi. I could give you my favourites, but they may not be yours.

Look at www.dlpfoodguide.com.It lists all the restaurants and cafes in Disney resort, and you can read peoples%26#39; reviews.I have written reviews on this site.

All the restaurants do kids meals. There are 3 categories of half board, where you get vouchers to use for your meals; Standard, Plus and Premium. I don%26#39;t know what your free meals offer will give you. We use PLUS, which includes all the good restaurants and buffets in the parks and hotels.

As your 3 yr old is a girl you may want to splash out on the Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland. This is where the Princes and Princesses come round the tables for photos etc and they dance.

My boys always likes the Blue Lagoon because it is in the Pirates of the Carribbean ride, but it is quite dark in there, because it is like being outdoors at night, so your daughter may not be keen.

There are some good buffet restaurants, which is good for kids, because you will find something they like there.

Plaza Gardens Buffet is popular, just off Main Street.

Another one to consider is the Lucky Nugget Saloon in Frontierland, as it is a buffet with Characters. You need to book this in advance. It is easy to phone Disney restaurant booking line +33(0)1 60 30 40 50. before you go.I always book a restaurant before we leave for our arrival day, and then book each one a day ahead in the parks. You can also book from your hotel, by phone or at the desk.

Cafe Mickey is in the Disney Village, by the lake, and does character meals.

I think they have Characters in the Disneyland hotel restaurants as well, so you may want to eat here after the parks have closed. You can also book the buffets in the Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge and New York hotels, which are around the lake, but they are not Character meals.

Colonel Hathis Pizza Outpost is nice for pizza and pasta, situated in Adventureland.

There is also a buffet in the Studios Park, called Rendez vous des stars.

Plaza Gardens Restaurant also does a Character Tea(3pm til 5.30pm I think), with cakes and pastries.Again, book in advance.

There is a fast food restaurant in Discoveryland called Videopolis. It has a lot of tiered tables, and a stage. In the past there have been shows here, so you could eat and watch a good show at the same time.

There was no show in August, but showing Mickey cartoons on a big screen.(There have been some cutbacks due to the recession). You don%26#39;t book the fast food places.

Happy to help with any other questions, either on forum or send me a message.

If your free meals package is for standard vouchers, you can pay the extra in more expensive restaurants.

Depending on which meal plan vouchers you have I would certainly pay the difference and take them to prince and princesses meal and I would also reccomend cafe mickey, there are plenty of characters and as the restaurants are table service your meals are prepared when you order compared with the buffet style restaurants as you don%26#39;t know how long the food has been there for. Our children did enjoy annettes diner as the waiters wear rollerboots and they serve plenty of chips! I would have a look on dlp magic which gives you menus from each of the restaurants.

Thanks you everyone for the great advice :)
