1. I am planning a 2 weeks-holidays in May/June to Corsica and have more or less settled for the area of Porto Vecchio as a base. We are travelling with 2 small kids (1 and 3 years old), are looking for a beautiful beach, and a natural, peaceful setting (no loud music by the pool or on the beach!), a decent restaurant on site or nearby... I am looking at self-catering rather than hotels because it is more flexible with the kids. Can you tell me anything about the following:
Residence Marina di Santa Guilia
Residence Les Hameaux de Santa Giulia
Residence Cala Sultana
Residence Castell%26#39;Verde
Residence Paese Serenu
Residence Caranella Village
There is so much choice, hard to decide which one...
2. Prices are cheaper in May than in June, but can we already swim in the sea or is it too cold?
3. If we decide to take our time coming down from either Bastia or Calvi/L%26#39; ile Rousse, what stop-over would you recommend? (hotel this time)- also would you go inland via Corte or along the coast? stop somewhere in the mountains? Or is St Florent not-to-be missed?
4. Are there mountain-villages accessible from Porto-Vecchio?
Thanks for your help!

Hi Genevieve,
Have you been to Corsica? Where did you stay?
We would like to go for 2 weeks to this beautiful Island in September and have the same questions.
What are your experiences?
Thank you for your help.

Hi there, We are also considering Corsica in September. We have 2 kids, (1yr and 3yrs) and are only looking for self catering cottages/villas with pools close to lovely beaches..
Did you go? What can you recommend?

The appartments are fully equipped with
dishwasher/kitchen/washing machine/BBQ on the terrasse and have a wonderful view over the coast and is close
to the finest beaches of Corsica.
