Best way to get from CDG to Arc de Triomphe

Hello,

My wife and I will be honeymooning in Paris. We%26#39;re staying near the Arc de Triomphe. Our hotel is Royal Magda Etoile, 7 Rue Troyon.

What is the best way to get to Arc de Triomphe from CDG airport? I%26#39;ve heard there is an Air France bus that might get us close. Does anyone know how much it will cost. If we take the metro, what will it cost us?

Thanks for the help!

The metro doesn%26#39;t go all the way out to CDG so you%26#39;d take a commuter train called the RER B. Stay on until after

Gare di Nord and transfer at the stop Chatelet-les-Halles to the RER A direction Pontoise.

The cost will be 8.60 Euros and your ticket is good until you leave the system... you can transfer to the metro from the RER too. Hold your ticket until you exit... there can be spot checks.

Your hotel is only a short walk from the Etoile stop. (Arc de Triomphe)

There is an excellent map of Paris bus, metro and RER routes you can use to plan at

www.ratp.info/orienter/cv/carteparis.php

http://maps.google.com is another excellent resource... zoom in a bit on Paris and you%26#39;ll see Metro/RER stations are marked. Click on one (an M in a white circle for example) and a box will come up showing you which line or lines serve that station.

The Air France bus can drop you at the Arc De Triomphe on the Avenue Carnot side. 15 Euros.

If I was in your shoes and on honeymoon, I%26#39;d take a taxi rather than public transit.

Just my 2 centimes.
