Air France Shuttle or a Taxi to Hotel Concorde Montparnesse

My daughter and I will be arriving at CDG Sat Sept 19 for our first visit to Paris. We are trying to decide if we will take the Air France shuttle or a taxi to our hotel. I%26#39;m concerned with getting ripped off by a taxi driver and have been hearing some negative things about taking a shuttle. I would appreciate any feedback.

HAve you thought about using the RER? Where is your hotel and what time of day? My family, incl 7yo child with own luggage, used it. It was much cheaper, quick and very little hassle. However, our htoel was near an RER staion, you may need to change to a Metro adn some people speak of problems with stairs etc. We didn%26#39;t have any issue. Just a thought....

From your hotel%26#39;s web site --

Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG): By taxi, depending on traffic, the journey should take approximately 45 minutes and the charge should be in the region of €45.

Transport to and from the airport: The Air France shuttle has a direct service to Montparnasse Station, which is just a step away from the hotel.
