Hotel Milliseme in St. Germain Area Grocery Store

We are staying at the Hotel Milliseme and will want to go to a nearby grocery store to get bottled water and some snacks. Where is the closest one?

Thanks, CB

If you%26#39;re referring to the Hotel Millesime on rue Jacob, the closest supermarket would be up the rue Bonaparte, across Blvd. St.-Germain, bear right onto rue de Rennes, and you will see Monoprix, a 5 minute walk.

|||

There%26#39;s a large Champion Supermarket in rue de Seine, about three minutes walk from your hotel.

It%26#39;s open till 11.30 every night (except Sunday when it closes at 1pm. And it doesn%26#39;t open till midday on Monday.)

If you go to Google maps http://maps.google.com

Use the Get Directions feature. Put in the address of your hotel (15 rue Jacob, 75006 Paris) and the address of the supermarket (79 rue de Seine, 75006 Paris). Select walking. The press the Get Directions button, and voilà you%26#39;ll see exactly how to get there.

The Champion supermarket is quite a bit closer than the Monoprix.

Check them both out (they both have groceries, but the Monoprix has clothing, homewares etc as well). For your bottles of water, I%26#39;d advise using Champion. :)

Plus, Rue Buci, a couple of blocks away, is a market street that has everything! The Champion is very near it--you can walk down rue Buci to get to it.

If I am not mistaken, the Millesime has a concierge. If I am wrong the front desk will know...

We%26#39;ve stayed at the Millesime Hotel three years running and have started leaving cards for restaurants in the area with the concierges. You can ask to see them for suggestions.

Just around the corner is a great cafe which is always crowded but is a favorite of ours...

The small food market mentioned above is across the intersection from it.

On the weekends (including Friday if my memory serves me correctly), there%26#39;s also (or there was in Jan 08) a great poultry, cheese and chacuterie market in rue de Seine (near the corner of rue Bucci on the same side of the street as the Champion Supermarket).
