Which area?

Hi, I am planning a short break to Paris (2-3 nights) for my boyfriend%26#39;s 21st. I am a student on a budget so want to stay somewhere reasonably priced but still central if possible. After looking around I%26#39;m a bit confused as to the best area to stay in. I would want central but not noisy, close to attractions and lively bars, restaurants. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hello!

I have tried hotel Home Latin last year when I was on a budget. It is close to Sorbonne, right in the quartier latin. The street of the hotel is pretty calm and I didn%26#39;t hear anything at night. But the area is fabulous, full of historical monuments, cafes, restaurants and shops. You can check their website for their photos galleries: http://www.hotelhomelatinparis.com/

Another hotel I can recommend is hotel Armstrong: it is definitely the cheapest hotel I know of in Paris and very decent! I consider it the best value for money hotel in town; it is however on the far east of the Paris but you have a metro close to and it goes straight to most of the interesting parts of the city: Grands Boulevards, Grands Magasins, Champs Elysees, Concorde, etc. http://www.hotelarmstrong.com/ the hotel manager is english and the staff in general is very helpful.

The 10th, 11 %26amp; 12th arrondissements are probably good bets. Well located, but more affordable. Public transport is really good - so if you%26#39;re somewhere in the 20 arrondissements, you can get around cheaply and easily.

What a great way to spend you%26#39;re boyfriend%26#39;s 21st!

Ooops: your boyfriend%26#39;s 21st (not you%26#39;re boyfriend%26#39;s 21st). Need spell check badly...
