Charles De Gaulle to disney by RER

Would any one be able to help me I%26#39;m trying to figure out the cheapest way to get to Disney from CDG airport but I%26#39;m having trouble figuring out the metro/rer system.

I%26#39;m thinking we would take the RER to Chatelet Les Halles and then on to Disney does anyone know how much this would cost and how long it would take?

Also we would like to spend one of the days in the center of Paris sight seeing would a carnet cover us for the journey from CDG to disney as well as our day in paris? If not what is the best value alternative?

Any help much appreciated

Thank you x

Both CDG and Disneyland are in the suburbs, so urban carnet metro tickets are not valid -- you have to get a special ticket from the ticket window or out of one of the machines.

Count about an hour for the trip on the RER B and RER A, 30 minutes on each.

Purchase a zone 5 Mobilis ticket, 12.90€.

This ticket will take you into Paris on the RER A and back as well as anywhere you want to go (within the zone 5 boundary which is farther that most tourists every travel). Mobilis tickets are valid for the entire day%26#39;s travel.

|||

Price update: the zone 5 Mobilis pass is now 13€20. It appears that the Ile de France transportation network has had a recent price increase.

|||

Thank you for your reply, very helpful.

Just one more question, are CDG airport and disney both in zone 5? So would we be able to use a mobilis ticket to get to both of these destinations?

Thank you x

From the RATP web site:

%26quot;Mobilis vous permet de voyager, dans la limite des zones choisies, sur les lignes de la RATP, de la SNCF Ile-de-France et sur les réseaux OPTILE, à l%26#39;exception des dessertes d%26#39;aéroports (Orlybus, Orlyval, Roissybus, Roissyrail et Orlyrail).%26quot;

In other words travel by any mode of transport to or from either CDG or ORly is specificcaly NOT covered by the Mobilis pass.

|||

Oh, that%26#39;s mean!

(But it also seems very strange, because I would imagine that you could take the RER from CDG to Parc des Expositions with a separate ticket and then use the Mobilis from Parc des Expositions.)

|||

I suppose you could, kerouac, but you%26#39;d have to exit the system at PdE and buy a ticket to CDG and then wait for the next train. Seems like a bit of a pain. I think a ticket from PdE to CDG would cost around €4 so you wouldn%26#39;t be saving all that much in the long run in any case...

What is the difference between the Mobilis pass and the Paris Visite card? They both seem to include travel by train, bus or metro to/from Paris and MLVC Disney.

We used the Paris Visite, which we booked with our holiday. We had a 1 day card. We paid 16.50 UK pounds per ticket. Is the Mobilis just cheaper?

Paris Visite cards can be used from the airports, and cover bus, metro and trains in Paris. We bought cards for zones 1-5 which includes Marne La Vallee Chessy( Disney). The advantage is that they are per day, not per trip, and very easy to use.
