Visiting Paris in February

Is visiting Paris in February a good idea, weatherwise and generally for visiting the sights? Also, we could use some reccommendations for 4-5 star hotels on the Left Bank as well as restaurants.

Thanks.

There is a pretty good summary of what Paris in February is like at about.com

Thanks....this site is a great resource.

We have visited Paris many times in February and have had really nice weather -- sunny, cool, 40%26#39;s-50s and even warm some days. Generally I have packed way warmer clothes than I have needed. Perhaps we have just been lucky. Going this year in janaury and hope we have the same decent weather.

Your experience is encouraging. Now can you offer some hotel and restaurant recommendations? We would like to stay on the left bank and enjoy bistro food.

We will probably be there for at least a week.

Thanks.

Sorry can%26#39;t help you with a hotel as we stay in apts. If you%26#39;re staying for a week or so u might want to look into doing that. Lots more room and even less expensive generally.

On restaurants there are tons and tons of good ones, off the top of my head, a few favorites are le Comptoir, Le Pamphlet, Aux Trois Petit Cochons, Chez Janou, Le Petit Prince, Baracane. For a quick bite, dont miss L%26#39;as du Falfel - best falfels I%26#39;ve ever had. Not all the ones above r in the 5th, but relatively close by. Lots of restaurants are closed on Sundays, so that is generally a challenge, but of course there are many open, just takes more searching or browsing the streets in the evening.

I haven%26#39;t begun making up a list of where we might eat this trip. U might do a search on this site as well as check out Fodors.com. That%26#39;s what I will be doing at some point. Tons of restaurant recommendations.

Here%26#39;s 2 mild weather in Paris in January %26amp; February!
