hotel for family of 5

Plan to visit paris in april for 3-4 days with three young children, all together family of 5. Anyone can recommend a good and friendly hotel that may be able to accomodate all 5??

Check out the Citadines Apartment hotel in St Germain. It%26#39;s located right on the Seine just down river from Notre Dame. Super location, central and very safe. The good news it was recently rehabbed, bad news they raised the price. If the kids are small enough you can pack them in one bed. Nice little kitchen.

If the price is to high then let us know your budget in €.

You really should rent an apartment. It will end up cheaper anyway, most parisian hotels can accomodate four at the VERY most, and those rooms tend to be pretty pricey, making an apartment more affordable.

There are a ton of apartments on VRBO.com, and if you browse through the postings here (search on %26quot;apartments%26quot;) you will see the apartments people have enjoyed. It%26#39;s really a better choice especially w/ young kids.

I agree with healyyoung, definitely rent an apartment though the minimums might be 5 to 7 days.

Thanks for the info. I like the idea of Citadines Apartment hotel in St Germain, but will I be able to sneak in my toddler?? I don%26#39;t mind sharing a bed with him. I%26#39;m worry that the hotel will make us rent two rooms upon arrival when they notice 2 adults and 3 kids. I had bad experience in a foreign country when room arragement was not clearly written in Black and White.

I%26#39;m also considering the apartment idea. My only concern is safety, especially with 3 young kids. I like the idea that some apartments have laudry machines. Questions: where do you obtain the key?

How do you return the key? Is the bedding clean?? Do we need to pack our own towels?? would we be able to rent only 3-4 days? As you can tell I have never rent an apartment before, so I%26#39;m SCARE!!! Thanks for all your input.

It%26#39;s a bad idea to %26#39;sneak in%26#39; anybody, no matter how small. The hotel needs a head-count for fire safety laws and they aren%26#39;t going to charge you anything for a toddler, unless maybe a few euro for a %26#39;childs cot%26#39;.

Novotel (for example, les Halles location) has a suite with a Queen bed, sofa bed and 2 armchair beds; the Junior suite has a double bed and 2 armchair beds (making small %26#39;twin%26#39; beds).

You might consider %26#39;family%26#39; rooms (two rooms with access to each other)..

Double + triple (ask if they %26#39;connect%26#39;) for around 200E

Two %26#39;communicating rooms%26#39; per floor

If you rent a private apartment in Paris, every owner does his or her own thing. USually the owner or someone who works for them will meet you at the apartment, give you a key and a tour, and then when you leave you leave the key inside the apartment. The housework is usually done by a maid or cleaning service when you leave, so the sheets and towels are clean just as in a hotel.

Look at testimonials of course. But this is an excellent option for you, and the only way I would do it with three kids.

If you want a recommendation send me a private message.

Our family of 5 stayed at the Hotel Turenne when we visited Paris. The hotel is near rue du clare (sp?) and not far from the Eiffel Tower. We found out about this hotel from the Rick Steves Paris Guide. We stayed in 2 connecting rooms, and each room had its own fairly large bathroom. My husband and I had a double bed in one room and our three children has 3 twins in their room. We paid about 100 euro per night for each room. You can read my review under my profile.

If an apartment interests you at all, check out vacationinparis.com They are an american based company (you get to pay in USD so you won%26#39;t lose any money with currency conversion). I know that they have some apartments that they rent for a 3 night minimum. We used vip last November and rented a beautiful 2 bedroom apt on Ile St. Louis. Our experience was smooth and problem free.

Take a look at www.parisholidayapts.com.

We have stayed in the Louvre 1 bedroom on one occasion and at the Pont Neuf duplex on 2 occasions and been happy. The Pont Neuf is just around the corner from Citadines St Germain. The Pont Neuf is really only suitable for children 4+ because of the internal stairs but John has other apartments in the area. His minimum rental is usually 4 nights but will rent for shorter periods to fill in gaps in the rental calendar. We have found John to be very honest in our dealings with him, he does not require a security deposit and where possible he will accommodate early arrivals from North American flights. Even if the apartment is not ready, you can leave luggage early.
