Just for starters...

530-6pm - Sacre-Coeur Basilica, Montmartre, Place du Tertre

A half-hour is not enough to wander around and see all four of these things/areas.

IMO Two hours would be a minimum.

Hi Pjk,

Sorry for the confusion. I actually meant that we want to be in that area already around 530 or 6pm and we are spending the rest of the evening (until 10 or 11pm) in the Montmartre area :)

What do you think about the rest of the itinerary?

Thanks!

For dinner around St Germain, we had two dinners at La Boussole which is just a few blocks off the Blvd St. Germain at about Les Deux Magots...

For this on Sat...

1pm - Ile St. Louis area

4-730 pm - Notre Dame (mass at 630pm)

Dinner - Latin Quarter or Opera area

Look at the Brasserie D%26#39;ile St Louis for a drink to replax; a cool beer if it is warm out or a vin chaud if it is not. From the Ile St. Louis walk farther up into the Marais and maybe stop at L%26#39;as de Falafel,

34, Rue des Rosiers, or, if there is a long line, Mi Va Mi across the street. And if you go to mass at Notre Dame, you could walk back to the Brasserie D%26#39;Ile St Louis. It%26#39;s close in case the weather is bad, or back into the Marais to Le Colimacon, 44, Rue Vieille du Temple, or Robert %26amp; Louise, 64, Rue Vieille du Temple in the next block. R %26amp; L specialize in grilled meat and has a grill right in the restaurant. Entrecote!

If you are anywhere near Church St. Germaine des Pres which is across the road from Deux Maggots etc. there is a restaurant or a couple of them on rue Benoit. This street is just behind Deux Maggots. There is a Cafe Benoit and another one I can%26#39;t remember the name of. Have eaten at both of them. Good onion soup.

It would be best if you could get your Paris Museum Pass before you go to the Orsay - you want to avoid the line rather than get in one to get the pass.

You can get it at the airport if you are flying in.

You can get the museum pass at the Gare du Nord or Gare de l%26#39;Est.

I agree with the prior poster. Get it before you go to the d%26#39;Orsay so you can avoid the line.

Thank you everyone for the wonderful suggestions!

Would I need reservations in those restaurants for lunch?

Thanks Tren and Traveler for the museum pass tip. I will definitely get the museum pass at Gare de L%26#39;est since I am sure Gare du Nord would be busy :)

Did anyone find my itinerary too ambitious or is it pretty doable?
