14eme district in Marseille

Hello everybody,

We%26#39;ll be in Marseille for one night at the end of this month. We found a place in the 14eme neighborhood (can%26#39;t spell arroisement??). It%26#39;s that a safe area? We%26#39;ll meet a local friend but he%26#39;s travelling now and hard to get in touch with so not sure if this is a good place or not. We appreciate any advice!!

That would not be my personal choice for one night in Marseille. I lived there for a few years but I don%26#39;t know this neighborhood in detail however, in the back of my head, not the most desireable.

Try the Vieux Port (Old Port) or other more central locations. Why the 14th Arrondissement?
