My wife and I are going to visit my sister in London next April or May. We are wanting to take the train to Paris and stay a night, returning the next afternoon. We want to stay at hotel looking at the tower. Visiting some of the sights. What kind of cost are we looking at?
We just returned from Aruba. We used this site for that vaction and it turned out great. I love Tripadvisor.
Thanks ya%26#39;ll.

You can find rates to fit any budget in Paris.
However, I am under the impression that you will need to spend at least 200 euros for the sort of thing you want (hotel, meals and sights). Probably even 300. (Many can do the same for 100 euros, but that would exclude an Eiffel Tower view from the hotel.)

I was thinking more. Somewhere around a $1000, not sure the exact amount in Euros.
I figured the Louve and maybe Norte Dame too. Don%26#39;t know how much time we will have. Thanks for the reply.

Much depends on how far in advance you plan and book.
Now would be the time to study booking the most economical Eurostar fares and looking for a hotel with rooms looking at the tower - contrary to what you may presume, there aren%26#39;t that many, and they%26#39;re very popular so are booked well in advance.

Try The Alma Hotel in the 7th, right off R. St Dominique. The top floor views right on the tower. Hotel is, or was 2 star but clean and relatively cheap. Many other inexpensive hotels on R. St Dominique, no=t sure of tower view except from the street.

$1000 is just about €700. That would allow you €200 for a very nice 3-star hotel room, €200 for a very good dinner for 2, €100 for two more than acceptable lunches for two, €100 for tickets to museums and other sites and the odd cup of coffee, and €100 to buy the stuff you%26#39;re going to want to buy to take home. You could certainly do it for a lot less. And you could divvy it up quite differently too...
The recommendation about seeking out your hotel room ASAP is a good one. I don%26#39;t have any expertise in Eiffel Tower view rooms but I%26#39;m sure others will have some ideas.
You can book Eurostar tickets 120 days ahead of your travel date. The lowest RT fare from London is currently £59 (about $100) but those can go fast on heavy travel days.
Have fun with the planning!

2 days 1 nite in Paris is way too short, You must allocate at least 3-4 days :)

You can get relatively cheap hotels in Montmartre with a great view of the city and the Eiffel tower.. I stumbled on such a hotel site once but of course lost it..
