cheap Hotel near Gare de Nord

I am arriving at Gare de Nord train station at night and need a hotel/hostel (2 star) really close by so I%26#39;m not walking too far in the dark. Could anyone suggest a clean, safe place to stay?

There are 50 hotels across from the station in every price range, from 35€ to 350€.

Here%26#39;s one directly across from the station. Not that the internet rates are significantly cheaper than the walk-in rate. I am not a fan of the wallpaper in the first picture!

That was %26quot;note%26quot; instead of %26quot;not%26quot; the first time.

No, but the photo on the %26#39;Rates%26#39; page is quite nice.

Better check out the reviews first:

If the link doesn%26#39;t work, just check the trip advisor hotel reviews. Yikes!

Unless you need to get a train from Gare du Nord very early in the morning, you might want to look at going a little further afield.

I would be much more likely to walk anywhere at night in Paris than in Perth, or any Australian capital city (and I%26#39;ve certainly not been afraid walking alone at night in central Melbourne). But Paris is easy to get around - there may be alternatives to walking. The metro runs till quite late.

If you can provide some more information, you may get alternative suggestions.

What time are you arriving?

How long are you staying in Paris?

What%26#39;s your budget per night for the hotel (in Euros)?

How much luggage will you have?

Thanks for your reply.

I am spending a few days in Paris initially and staying around Montmartre area but then I have to come back to Paris to catch my flight back home.

I will only be staying the one night near Gare de Nord and leaving mid morning for Charles De Gaulle.

I don%26#39;t want to spend more than 100 euro for a twin/double room. (I am travelling with my daughter).
