Does anyone know where Plage de la Revellata is? apparently its near Calvi with a nice hidden beach. Is it easily accessible by car? We have a 15month old and like the idea of a hidden beach, but i%26#39;m guessing if its hidden access must be difficult?

Punta di revellata is a peninsula to the west of Calvi, where there are various little beaches and one in particular at the beginning of the peninsula(don%26#39;t know if it%26#39;s called the plage de la revellata) which are fairly unfrequented. To get to them you either park your car at the top and walk quite a long way - maybe a mile with all the zigzags - or you drive, down a rocky but ok dirt road. You can then also walk along the peninsula to smaller coves.
if you drive out of calvi on the d62 towards porto, along the coast, you will pass it - the dirt road turn off is just opposite the turn off to the recycling centre just out of town. you can see the peninsula and the main beach from the road.
Or you can walk from Calvi, there%26#39;s a path goes off somewhere along the road (can%26#39;t remember exactly where but it%26#39;s not that hard to find, before the pavement gives out I think, certainly before the houses give out, maybe through a campsite). This is also too far for a 15month old but not for a 15 month old in a back pack if you%26#39;re used to that. Maybe half an hour%26#39;s walk (and easier than the walk down - or back up - the dirt road)
