Can any suggest an inexpensive quick breakfast cafe near the Hotel West End located at 31 Promenade des Anglais. Breakfast at the hotel is quite expensive.

Out of the hotel , turn left and a few metres on the left a very small cafe, serving all types of breakfast, can%26#39;t think of the name, it has about 4 outside tables and a few inside, next door to a property shop, serves all types of breakfast snacks.
further along the Prom, about 2/3 minutes and there is Cane a Sucre, avery reasonably priced English breakfast(9e), my wife had a European breakfast and enjoyed that too.
Another 3/4 minutes along the Prom and there is Cafe Promenade, a wide selection, great for people watching and breakfast in the sun, but alas you are charged for the privelege and the portions not that big.

Best and cheapest: send husband/partner out with shopping bag. He turns left to Rue Meyerbeer, first turning on right up the Meyebeeer, Rue de France, second shop along on right, newsagent with international papers, fifth shop a fantastic boulangerie with more types of fresh bread than you can imagine and croissants etc to die for. Several shops in Rue Meyerbeer to buy butter jam, fruit, drinks. When H/P returns to room with his selection it is important to praise him lavishly-this will motivate him for the next morning.

On two mornings this week I had breakfast at the Place Justice, 10 mins or so from the West End. Lovely location; orange juice, croissant, fresh roll, coffee for six euro and all staff very pleasant.
