We are coming to Paris from Brussels and will arrive at Gare du Nord around 8:00 AM. We plan to leave bags at the Best Western ducs du Borgorne on Pont Neuf and go immediately to the Eiffle Tower. Hopefully, we will be there around 9:15. Its been a while since we were there and I think the best way would be Metro to St. Micheal or is there a stop on Rue Rivoli on the blue ligne direction St Remy les Chevreuse or would it be the ligne direction Port de Orleans have a stop at Riviole. After we get to hotel would be be faster to walk or get back on Metro by crossing the Seine and getting on yellow line direction Versailles. There seem to be several options but would like the fastest. Thanks

From the Gare du Nord, you can take RER line D (dir. Corbeil-Essonnes) to Châtelet-Les Halles; from there, it%26#39;s only 4 minutes walking.
But as you say, there are several options, and I suspect that the route via RER and Châtelet-Les Halles is not the simplest for you. It might be faster and easier to take line 4 (in direction of Porte d%26#39;Orléans), and get off at Châtelet. From there, it%26#39;s a few hundred meters to your hotel in the rue du Pont Neuf.
To go from you hotel (which is near metro stops Louvre-Rivoli and Pont Neuf) to the Eiffel tower, you could go to the Louvre-Rivoli stop and take line 1 (dir. La Défense) to Charles de Gaulle-Étoile. There, transfer to line 6 (dir. Nation). You can get off the train at Trocadéro (for a great view of, and a nice walk to the Eiffel tower) or Bir-Hakeim.
You don%26#39;t say when you will be in Paris, but there are works on the (yellow) RER line C in the period of 28 Sept. - 1 Oct.

Thanks so much for advice. We will be in Paris in December so no problem with work on line C.
