We have a confict in our short itinerary which only enabes us to experience one or the other.
So my question to our trusted TA experts is this: if one had to choose only one open market out of these two, which would it be, Saturday in Aix or Sunday in Isle Sur La Sorgue?
Thank you in advance for your help!

I have not been to the market in Aix but the market in Isle Sur La Sorgue is really great and I highly recommend it. It%26#39;s big and the village laneways provide a wonderful setting for the market stall holders to sell their wares.
My personal view is that the produce and products sold at the market in St Remy on Wednesday were quite similar to that in Isle Sur La Sorgue on Sunday(even some of the same stall holders were the same). Therefore, it is quite possible that Aix will have similar products and produce as in Isle and you will not be missing out by only being able to attend one and not the other.
Although, I will defer to those who have been to the markets in both Aix and Isle for confirmation of this.

I would go for l%26#39;Isle too, the market is more varied.

Another vote for L%26#39;Isle Sur La Sorgue.
Handsdown. No question.
Though my impression of Aix is perhaps colored by my minor mishap in the Carnot Parking Garage, I stil prefer L%26#39;Isle for other reasons. ;)

Thank you for your replies! Looks like Isle Sur La Sorgue wins over Aix en Provence on this one....it%26#39;s too bad we can%26#39;t do both though!
Thanks again for your help!

Both towns offer a wonderful setting for open markets : on squares beneath plane trees in Aix, along river banks in L%26#39;isle S/Sorgue.
Aix :
Fruit %26amp; vegetables = Place des Prêcheurs, Place de la Madeleine
Local produce = Place Richelme
Flowers = Place de l%26#39;Hôtel de Ville
Clothes %26amp; Flea market = Place de Verdun
L%26#39;isle S/Sorgue :
Fruit %26amp; vegetables, local produce, clothes on one bank, flea market %26amp; antique dealers on the other.
I love both but what it really comes down to IMO is whether one is more interested in antiques, in which case L%26#39;Isle S/Sorgue definitely is a better choice.
