Lord, I hope you haven%26#39;t left yet! Turn around now and come home - you%26#39;ll have more fun. The place is horrible, dank, dingy and unsuitable for small children. The bar requires a mortgage to buy a pint and the %26#39;restaurant%26#39; sucks.

Don%26#39;t do it - we came back after 5 days. Good luck!

Hi There, I went to Les Amiaux in July 2009 for a two week holiday and it was lovely. Pools were really nice I didn%26#39;t realise they had two until we arrived. We went with Matthews of France and the caravan was basic but clean. We saved over £500 by booking with them.

Its a little walk to the centre of st jean de monts, so we found we drove more than normal.

The entertainment was ok nothing to shout about.

Take away and food on site nice and reasonable priced for france.

The people on the site we really friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere and not noisey at all.

Lots to do around the area, we went quad biking, water park, fairs, lots of nice pretty villages.

The beach is really really nice. lots of room not over crowded.

I would recommend the camp site if you are willing to drive a little.

I would definetley go back again.

We went to Les Amiaux in July/Aug 2009 for 4 weeks staying in a static. The reception staff were ok (i only needed to speak to them twice, once on arrival, and once to buy washer tokens) they spoke English to me even after i tried to speak French. The shop staff are ok - i managed to master deux croissants et un baguette after 4 weeks. The bar staff are friendly. I only went to the bar on about 6 occassions, each during the day. We ate once in the bar on our last day and the food was delicious. If you have your own laptop you can connect to wifi, but i think it is expected you buy a drink. Drinks werent expensive for Europe. The take away was ok for chips and pizzas. 2 outdoor pools and 2 indoor pools - only used the indoor and it was fine. We would not attempt to walk to SJDM as it was just too far with a baby - probably about 30-45 mins. We didnt walk to the beach either, its through a sandy pine forest so no good for prams - probably about 15 mins. There is also a road to the beach. The beach was clean. Some people have mentioned the manager - i never spoke to him, but he waved whenever we passed. We noticed he works very long hours. We never used the communal shower/toilet blocks, but on the one occassion i went in for a nosey they were clean. We went during the height of the season and there were lots of British kids riding bikes around the site until late at night towards the end of our holiday. On some nights (say three times a week), you could hear loud music from the neighbouring campsite or nightclub, but this finished prompt at 23.00h
