Hotel for 18 year old?

My nephew is 18 in November and I am treating him %26amp; his girlfriend to a trip to Euro Disney. I was actually quite surprised when he said he wanted to go.

I have the flight sorted however I would be grateful if anyone could recommend a nice hotel which is central. They wish to stay in Disney for the Friday %26amp; Saturday, travelling back to the UK on Sunday afternoon.

Many thanks for your help %26amp; guidance.

Hi - Any of the hotels are suitable - it really depends on your budget. Do you want them to stay in the magic so on site or off site at one of the nearby partner hotels.

Only one I would maybe say might not be worth considering is Cheyenne which is Wild West themed with bunks in the room.

Do you want a room package that includes tickets or are you doing those separate?

Ruthie thank you for the reply.

Yes right slap bang in the middle of the magic would be great. This will be the first time away for both of them without adults...lol So we want them to both be in a safe suitable hotel.

I am looking for a nice hotel that can be recommended and then I will do a search for the best deal.

As for tickets once again i will be looking at the best deal I can get.

Ok well at the moment there are some good offers on the Disneyland website where you get all your meals free so I would definately price up there …disneylandparis.co.uk/special-offers/all-yo…

The hotels onsite start with Santa Fe - most basic, then Cheyenne - the one I said probably not the most suitable, Sequoia Lodge, then Newport Bay and New York and ending up with the ultimate Disneyland Hotel.

Its a very safe resort anyway due to the obvious family focus so that shouldn%26#39;t be a worry for you. All these hotels have shuttles to or are walkable to the parks (with the exception of the DLH which is right on the doorstep)!

Thanks for the info Ruthie. I will research today, and get back to you (if that%26#39;s ok, If I have any further questions) which I know I will have.

Hi! My son celebrated his 18th at DLP with his girlfriend last year on 1st Dec. I booked them into the Newport Bay, which has a nice indoor pool, and is in a good location at one end of Lake Disney. This has always been his favourite hotel, but we also like the Sequioa Lodge( on one side of Lake Disney). We have not stayed in the New York Hotel( at the other end of the Lake, nearest to the Disney Village and Parks)but it has an adult art-deco skyscraper theme, which may appeal to your son. We have stayed at the Cheyenne and Explorers in the past, when our boys were young, but they always preferred the Newport. You can walk into the parks from the Newport, Sequoia and New York, takes about 10 mins.

It really depends on your budget. The Santa Fe has a Mexican theme, and is the cheapest Disney hotel ( no pool).

My son and his girlfriend used the pool after the parks had closed in the evening, and it is worth booking them half board. They can use the vouchers in the parks, or in the Disney hotels, and will save a lot of money.

Anything else, please ask.

Just wanted to say,if you book them into a Disney hotel, it is worth phoning them to say it is your son%26#39;s 18th, and can they have a nice room/ good view.I stayed at the Newport Bay in August with eldest son, for his 23rd birthday. We were also there for his 18th, and they upgraded us to the Admirals Floor, with a great view. I phoned and asked if we could have the same room this time, and sent a balcony photo as I forgot the number! They identified the room ( 6310) and did not charge us the extra.

The telephone/ reception staff all speak excellent English, and the chap I spoke to was pleasant and helpful.Worth trying.

If you stay in the Newport Bay, on the Admirals floor, you have a hot buffet breakfast in addition to the cold, and can go in anytime after 7.30am. This is in a separate restaurant to the standard rooms, who only have a cold buffet, and have timed tickets.

Not sure if they also do this in the Sequioa and New York.

Just another comment! You say you were surprised he wanted to go. I offered my son a choice of what he wanted to do for his 18th-New York trip, big party,or anything else he fancied, and he said could he take his girlfriend to DLP and stay at the Newport, as she had never been. The Christmas celebrations start in November, so it%26#39;s a good time to go.

|||

Another thing! I paid for 2 nts, and got a 3rd nt free, so they went tues- fri.Eurostar from St Pancras.

Figgygirl thank you so much for all the excellent information.

I have sorted flights with Easyjet from Liverpool, so just need to sort out accomidation. I will look into Newport bay.
