Crossings & Crew houses

I%26#39;m fairly new to the yachting industry and am soon to make my way into Antibes to hopefully get a crossing to the Caribbean. I have heard that the summer was very tough for jobs and some people had to spend some time in Antibes. I%26#39;m hoping that the industry is better now. But I have saved some money for accommodations. Can anyone please recommend a place to stay. I have heard of some places not so nice. I would like a nice place. Thank you.

Hi gotyacht - there are a number of recommendations for Antibes in the thread below

tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g187217-i926-k2931…

The only one of the crew hostels where I know people who have stayed is the well-known %26#39;Crew House%26#39; which if you look at:

hostelz.com/hostel/60375-The-Crew-Houseich

probably falls into the category of places %26#39;not so nice %26#39; altho%26#39; my contacts found if OK -but it is after all dormitory accommodation. Regards budget hotels the Modern Hotel right in the centre of Antibes does seem to be highly rated by those who have stayed there . A full list of all types of accommodation in Antibes can be downloaded from the tourist office website:

If you are in Antibes the best place to go is the Le Blue Lady pub which is a recognised meeting place of the yachting fraternity and there are knowledgeable people who will point you in the right direction - as well as a notice board with accommodation offers etc.

Understand new accommodation set up this year known as %26quot;The Crew Grapevine%26quot; which is centrally located in Old Antibes and may be worth a try.
