Andy's busy Just grab a cab, and irons,

I do hit search for my questions.. just about always get what I need.. but Im getting nervous cuz the trip is looming!

Taxi.. I know I do not want to schlep bags threw mass transit. I dont think I need to book a shuttle for 2 people and 4 bags. I hope know how to avoid gypsy cabs.

Anyone know where you grab cabs at Orly airport? Is it as evident as it is in US cities? Is there a %26quot;brand%26quot; to look for? Should I call a cab co. when I get past customs? Should I call now, like I tried Andy.. ( yes, he replied very quickly)

Also.. do Paris hotels offer irons/boards to borrow? Thanx :o)

At the airport, follow the signs for taxis and make sure you take an official taxi off the rank. Do *not* accept offers of a %26quot;cheap ride%26quot; from touts: these are the rip-offs. You can%26#39;t call a cab: all proper cabs wanting to pick up have to join the queue for the taxi rank.

Some hotels offer ironing facilities, others do not. You need to check with the hotel where you will be staying.

I think you are worrying needlessly.

What would you do if you were leaving a US airport? Head for the doors that say %26quot;Exit%26quot;. You will see signs for %26quot;Taxis%26quot; too.

Once you get out the doors a Parisian taxi is easy to spot... there will be a sign on the roof. You%26#39;ll know one when you see one.

Other people will be lining up for them too so you%26#39;ll know where to go.

I have never understood why so many people feel it necessary to reserve something ahead... Paris has lots of taxis and you will be fine.

One idea though is to have your hotel name and address clearly printed on a piece of paper you can hand the driver.

And just think... while you%26#39;re in Paris... no Glen Beck! LOL

Have fun!
