we are visiting Bordeaux for a football match, and have only 1 day to tour the area, Sep 30th (day of match).
we want to spend most of it in wineries, but not the big, obvoius ones.
we will have a car
any suggestions?

Some of the most satisfying châteaux to visit--both in terms of their lack of %26quot;big, obvious%26quot; character as well as the very fine quality of their wines--are to be found in Saint-Emilion.
Discovering these is aided by the local tourist office, which is naturally enough focused on its vineyards and whose personnel can help with information on châteaux to visit in the area.
Given your one day and the relatively impromptu nature of your visit (most of my clients ask me to arrange itineraries a month or more in advance, especially at harvest time) you%26#39;ll have much better luck at getting into smaller properties than larger ones, another factor working in your favor given the type of château you have expressed interest in seeing.

1 more question:
is it realistic to be in St. Emilion, Pomerol and Medoc in 1 day?

Saint-Emilion and Pomerol, yes (they%26#39;re contiguous); Médoc, no (it%26#39;s across the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, and then the wine region begins about 20 kilometers further north).
