Gare du Nord to Le Meridien Etoile

I see a lot of posts on how to get from CDG to Le Meridien Etoile, but nothing about how to get there from Gare Du Nord.

My husband and I will be arriving from London at Gare du Nord via Eurostar... what is the easiest and/or most economical way to get to the hotel from there? How far is it from the train station?

Additionally, we will be going to CDG for a flight into Venice; am I right to assume that we can catch the Air France coach bus across the street to goto the airport?

From Gare du Nord take metro line 2, direction PORTE DAUPHINE, until CHARLES DE GAULLE ETOILE and then chance to line 1, direction LA DEFENSE, until station PORTE MAILLOT.
