Personally I liked the train trip better, you go right along the coast and through the mountainsides to the principality. The journey takes just over twenty minutes from Nice:

Eze is nice, but very touristy. It is a nice walk up and a beautiful view, plus there are some quite pleasant botanical gardens there.

Almost all the folk i know who commute to Monaco go by bus
I would generally take the bus mysaelf but a good combination for toruists is bus there and train back.
On weekdays its easy to combine a trip to Eze village and monaco using the 82 and 112 buses but teh 112 doesn%26#39;t run at weekeends
Eze is very pretty, perchest up onthe topo of a steep heill , and has gorgeous views , very tastefully restored to chocolate box perfection. Very slippy cobbles underfoot all year round even when dry and they are made much slicker by the rain

I was in Nice last week and took the 10:00am bus from the bus station. Journey took about 45 minutes and was a very pleasant journey along the cost in an air conditioned bus. And only 1 Euro.
It%26#39;s worth any Euro in Monaco to take another nus up towards the palace and see changing of the guard at 11:55am. An audio tour of the palace was only about 7 Euro%26#39;s and this took only 40 minutes.
You can then walk down the hill to the port area and head around where the boats are through the tunnel and head for the Casino.
All in all it%26#39;s a great day and we left about 4:00pm on the bus back to Nice.
